Additional Information: Judge Fisher is married to Nancy Fisher, a high school English teacher, and has two married children and three grandchildren. He has served as a member of the Los Angeles Police Commission, the Christopher Commission, the Los Angeles City Civil Service Commission, the board of the Brennan Center for Justice, and the board of the Legal Aid Foundation in Los Angeles.
As Associate Attorney General, Judge Fisher oversaw the work of the Civil, Civil Rights, Antitrust, Tax, and Environment & Natural Resources divisions of the Department of Justice. While in private practice, he specialized in complex litigation and alternative dispute resolution, with emphasis on securities, antitrust, intellectual property, contract and constitutional matters.
