Doesn't care what the jury decides and substitutes his own opinion for that of the jury--even when it requires disregarding the evidence.

I knew Justice Hollenhorst as a trial judge and as a 9th DCA Justice. He has reasonable intellect but is so motivated by political and personal agendas that any decision he makes is likely to be decided by how he wants it to come out, colored by his own prejudices. He is a poor judge in that respect. He is intellectually dishonest and driven by the desire for more and more power.
