- Very well prepared; will have read everything; expects direct answers to
his questions; does not mince words or suffer fools lightly.

- You have his Birthday printed incorrectly. It is March 27, 1931. This is FACT.

- Finest Judge the ACLU could buy!
- Gene Vorobyov (3/20/99)
- In response to a highly inappropriate anonymous posting on 11/20, ACLU is a non-profit
organization. Whether or not you agree with their agenda, you ought to know they
don't even have the resources to pay decent salaries their attorneys, led alone
"buy" the judges.
- Ron Williams (5/1/99)
- For the person that made disparaging remarks concerning the Judge and the ACLU. I guess
that person rather have Judges who, while presiding over cases, engage in acts
constituting
violations of federal criminal statutes. I'm referring to Judges Beezer, Brunetti, Noonan
and Wardlaw. Instead of may random, unsupported insults against Judge Reinhardt, the
person so making, should contact me at gips@gte.net. If
he or she does, I will send documents constituting clear and convincing evidence of the
criminal acts that were engaged in by the above named circuit judges. Then maybe, just
maybe, that person will come on line with insults against those judges. But insults with
substance.

- This is the finest appellate judge in America today. He understands how the law and
reality intersect, unlike most appellate judges.
- Philip Kramer (3/16/00)
- Was well prepared and appeared interested in what the lawyers had to say.
He asked public policy questions that demonstrated his concern that his decision might
have greater impact than just our case.

- Judge Reinhardt is very smart, but as result-oriented as they come. In a
sense, that makes him predictable, but I would still rather have someone who
feels constrained by the facts and the law.
- Anonymous (6/8/02)
- Judge Stephen Reinhardt writes with clarity which makes it a joy to read
his decisions. His decisions do not cloud or confuse. Also he has a natural
empathy for not only law but also the facts of the case, and will identify
unseen psychological aspects also. In all a very fair whose bias is in favor
of human beings.
- Mike Brown (12/5/02)
- I am stunned and shocked at the opinion of this Judge on the 2nd
amendment. I guess according to this man, the first amendment gives the
government the right to run a state owned media to publish and say what ever
propaganda they choose to produce.
- Robert X. Seligman, Ph.D. CPCM (12/6/02)
- I disagree with those who regard the Ninth Circuit generally and Reinhardt
in particular as more a judicial embarrassment than a menace. His (and
their) ceaseless attempts to rewrite the U.S. Constitution as they wish it
had been written, constitute a grave threat to our liberty and an egregious
violation of the "Separation of Powers" doctrine. It is no random
occurrence then, that the U.S. Supreme Court has found it necessary to
reverse the Ninth Circuit more than all other appellate courts combined.
Their record is one of self-serving, left-wing activism and it is shameful!
- Ted Althausen (12/6/02)
- Really a liberal activist dressed in black robes
- Chris Nunn (12/6/02)
- I do not know what "historical records" Stevie is referring to
when he claims that the "records" make it "equally
plain" that the Second Amendment does not refer to an individual right.
All the ones I've read contradict Stevie's interpretation. I challenge
Stevie to attempt to show the American people how the words of Patrick Henry
or Thomas Jefferson in any way line up with his interpretation of their
intentions. Further more, the Bill of Rights, by definition, is a list of
individual rights.
- Koel Abell (12/6/02)
- A Judge's job is not to enact his/her own personal agenda, but to
interpret the law! The 2nd Amendment WAS adopted in order to afford the
rights of INDIVIDUALS!
- Daniel Cazeault (12/6/02)
- I, and millions of other law abiding gun owners, especially in CA., are
disgusted with your interpretation of the constitution. Who do you think the
militias were back then?! That's right.. The common Man! Also, your ruling
on the Pledge of Allegiance is also a farce! It should be left to the
individual to decide if they want to recite it that way or not! NO one
should be forced to say it either with or WITHOUT the word GOD. I believe in
God, if you, or they do not, that is fine, don't say it! But don't make it
forced to NOT be in there either. Back to guns...Hitler had views such as
yours...hmmm look how that turned out.....some "judge" you are.
The United States is FREE because it's citizens were armed. If you take that
away...so you take away FREEDOM. What are you a Godless fascist?!.. As a
judge I would hope you are not. Thank you for your time and I hope you pay
more attention to the real basis of the constitution...THE PEOPLE...not you!
